How are others researching property, for whether or not an HOA exists? We have never worried about HOA's until now, since we are the ones preparing the CLOD. Is there a service for checking for HOA's and the annual fee amount?

I asked a title company if there was a service or website that would provide that information and I guess there isn't one. We have been asking the borrower or the realtor involved in the transaction if they know whether a HOA exists. We've also just searched the internet. Sometimes they will have a facebook page or website. It's a pain!!!

If you have a general idea of the name, those HOAs are usually incorporated.
