If that is what you require in your account agreement, yes. In NY, the the stop payment terms under the UCC can be changed by agreement. If you want verbal or electronic notification of stop payment to be valid for a longer period, you can change your account agreements. Ours just says that a verbal, written or electronic stop payment order is valid for six months.
