We were preparing for the new requirement that a snowmobile registration include the name and address of the holder of any security interest in the snowmobile. This was to take effect July 1, 2009.

Our consumer loan department contacted the local SOS office. They said the change won’t happen until maybe sometime next year. They said changes are costly to implement and because the state is struggling financially, it has been put on hold. They said they were never even made aware of this.

Anyone know anything?
