Are job descriptions required to include ADA mandated verbiage? Specifically, definitions of what is expected of the applicant/job-holder's "Competencies" like Technical Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Oral Communications. Or, is the employer trying to protect itself against any future ADA claims by including all of these (and many, many more) "Competencies" in each job description as conditions of being able to fulfill the job's responsibilities? If ADA is requiring this, is there a legal cite I should be reading? At the moment, it appears that we are trying to take a simple, one-page document and change it to a five-page novelette.
