We have been asked to defer/delay loan payments by a customer who has joined Americorps. Does anyone know if we are requried to do that? This is like a USA based Peace Corp, I think.

SC
AmeriCorps web site Doesn't appear to meet the defintion of a servicemember so I'd say you're not obligated to honor their request.

This isn't a covered entity. The SCRA covers members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard on active duty, member s of the National Guard called up to active duty for more than 30 consecutive days under Title 32 USC, commissioned officers of the Public Health Service in active service, commissioned member of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in active service and under Section 104 – a U.S. citizen serving with an ally’s military service.
