The bank sends a thank you letter a month or so after a new account is opened. They would like to include a list of other bank products, as well as a loan application for the demand deposit line of credit product.Since it's not electronic or telephonic, I can't think of anything limiting this practice. Can you? smile

Thank you for thinking with me.

Just to be clear--even though the drop triggers nothing, its contents would still be subject to the usual advertising (and fair lending) rules.

Side bar thought, to limit postage expense with a "fatter" envelope, why not upsell the OD product at account opening rather than mail an application. That way if there are updates or changes to the application due to regulations and the customer decides two years later to apply using the original app provided, you don't run into issues.

You could also use the "thinner" mailing to promote use of your website as the most up-to-date source of applications for credit (and other services) and general information.
