Marketing wants to run a program that enters each person who opens a new account into a drawing.

From all I have read, about the only way we could do that is to open the drawing up to everyone, not just those who open accounts.

As long as we put a disclosure on the bottom of the add that state something to the effect of "no purchase necessary to enter drawing."

Just want to make sure I have this right.

I would be sure your legal counsel signs off on any mouseprint language. Would a normal person equate not having to open an account as "no purchase necesary"?

You should have a very clear statement in your official rules such as:

NO PURCHASE, DEPOSIT, LOAN APPLICATION OR OTHER BANKING TRANSACTION OR RELATIONSHIP NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Purchase, deposit, loan application or other banking transaction or relationship will not improve your chances of winning.

Very good suggestions. Legal already spoke and said it would need a No Purchase stmt.

Is there a need to add any language for "See Website or call a number for complete rules?
