Is this proof that Religion is an ancient creation to explain things since science wasn't even a...science... yet? Or just further proof of it being the politics of some people convincing others through fear/reward? (Just curious by the way, not trying to say I am not a religious person but I do question. Sometimes the naivete of children is profound.)

Or it could be because our culture refuses to accept miracles as God given. We feel we must explain everything with science. What is more miraculous than the outpouring of aid to the victims of Hurricane Katrina? What is more miraculous than the young daughter of an acquantance of mine telling me I would still be there when she came home from school after my abduction when I was considering suicide? What is more miraculous that life itself?

BF: I was just asking. I personally believe that you cannot explain much of life without faith. My issue has always been with the pompousness of different faiths and their insistence on their interpretations. I was just pointing out what the child said in 13. The miracles that Billy were referring to were not so amorphous.

By the way, I smiled the whole time I read this thread. I just like to stir the soup a little to get people to think.

I think I asked God the same thing regarding Hollis Larson in 2nd grade! It took a year but God did eventually answer my prayers!!
