While Anderson Cooper was interviewing Barack Obama about Hurricane Gustov (sic), the producers cut to a rat on top of a levy. You remember the old subliminal Coke and popcorn pictures embedded in films so we'd all buy some? CNN just imitated that during the Obama interview. They went from a full frame shot of Obama to a shot of a rat on one of the levies. This wasn't part of a sequence. Obama - rat - Obama, for less than one second. First rat shot I've seen in the coverage. Linkage I saw this after I read about the ouster of Olberman and Matthews. I guess the media can't get a fair shake any longer. However, they get no sympathy from me, they have only themselves to blame. Some media folks are real goobers. I mean REAL goobers.
