I miss Popeye's chicken. Closest one to me is 90 miles away. Good stuff!

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line

We had Mardi Gras in Pensacola when I was growing up. It was nowhere near as rowdy as NOLA but it was fun times. They threw candy to the kiddos and beads to the adults.

Galveston had its Madi Gras parades this past weekend, but with only 65% of the businesses affected by the last hurricane up and running, attendance was a bit down.
And I hear there is a Pooh character in here that is offering to put anyone coming to Madi Gras up for the week!!!

that's the Texas twang pronunciation!
so with that option to doff your top (which being interpreted is a wig) you finally admit you have no hair!!!!

Truff - my cousins and I have just been emailing about the donuts our Babci made. Don't know how to spell them, but phoenitcally they were punch-key. A light fluffy donut with plum butter filling and powdered sugar on the outside. Boy, could I eat one of those now ::day dreaming, licking lips avi::

My mom made chruschiki up until a few years ago. She's 86 and not up to it any more. I would love just one more taste of my Babci's cheese and raisen babka.
