Too much energy... Let me know if you're interested... Did you copy and paste from my online dating ad? OK, like most dating ads some parts are exaggerated.

Australian Shepherd 1 yr old Male House trained Kennel trained Not sure if he's fixed
Too much energy for my little space or I'd take him.
Located currently at Ft. Hood, TX
His name is "Eddy" and he is orange, white and black...think Collie with a little black thrown in there.
Let me know if you're interested. I will help transport him, if transportation is an issue. I am in Ohio and just bought a house with 4 acres. Would love to have him, but not sure how you would transfer this far.

My parents have a new red Australian Shephard, (about 1 yrs old), they would have made good playmates.

DD - look to see if there are any Australian Shepherds in Ohio. You might be surprised at what you may find.
(Edited to add) I was in Indiana a couple of weeks ago visiting and went to the local Petsmart. There was an animal rescue group doing an on-site with their dogs and they had 2 Aussies.

I haven't made the trip yet, but the local newspaper has been running stories about our local Humane Society being over run by abandoned dogs and cats. I plan to go there first and try to rescue one or two of those.

Yeah for you, DD!
Aussies, like other working dogs, are prime suspects for ending up in a rescue or worse. People get them cause they are so pretty/cute/etc and have no idea how active they really are and need room to roam/work/be busy...or be destructive just to burn energy!

Exactly why I said "No" when Mrs (to be) Pup said she wanted him. We simply don't have the time or the space.

Aussies make wonderful pets but they do need to work/exercise. They have alot of energy. I hear that in some places they are hard to find. I own one, Patches and she should have been named Tigger because she's so bouncy. There is a lady here that owns 4 that is very informed on Aussies and has lots of contacts.
