My mother LIED to me!!!

She always told me that I had to eat the crust on my bread because it was healthy. So I have always, ALWAYS eaten the crust.
Today, whiel eating my sandwhich and thinking hwo this new bread has particularly bad crust, I come to this realization... Crust is not more healthy for you than the rest of the bread!
It's the same ol' stuff, just extra cooked. If anything, it's WORSE for you as the heat from baking destroyed more nutrients in the crust than the inside of the bread.
OMG....I am never eating crust that's too dry and/or nasty ever again.

Psh, we were on welfare when that lie was told! then I would hope she told you that so you would not be wasting taxpayer dollars that were providing for your family at that time by throwing away crust, and because she was appreciative of a country that would step in and provide sustinence for your family when your family couldn't provide for itself... either that, or she was tired of hearing you whine and told you that to shut you up... i'm abount 50/50 on that one...
