My bf & I are going to New England in September and have added 1 1/2 days for Boston. What are the top things we should see/do while we're there? All suggestions are welcome.

I was there for a 4-day conference a year and a half ago or so, this was one of the few things I got to do in my free time. It was in early September, nice weather for it. Also went down through the Commons area that was a nice park to go through. (part of the trail goes through it if I recall correctly)

Somewhere out there was a mall area that had the Cheer's bar replica that was an actual bar, didn't go into it, but there were a lot of food places around there and a bit of a market thing going on. By my horrible description, maybe someone else can identify it smile

Hop on a train and head to Hah'vahd if you want to walk around there too, that was interesting just to see.

Thanks for the suggestions!! I'm not a baseball fan (sorry!) but do want to see Fenway just to say I've seen it. I'm a huge planner so this addition to my trip is warranting some research. smile

I walked from my hotel down to the park and walked around it. There was a game going on that night, but I didn't intend to go to one on my own anyway. It was a nice walk, probably a mile and a half each way. Ended up stopping and buying a shirt, otherwise just took in the sights.

I've never been to Boston, but I've been told that you must try their Baked Beans and their Cream Pie.

And the cream pie is not like a traditional cream pie, so don't be surprised. smile
