Come in to celebrate the leaving of the EU by Great Britain - bangers and mash, kibbles and bits, figgy pudding, fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, and haggis on the menu...better get the haggis quickly, because Scotland will quickly vote for independence and secede from GB to rejoin the EU and it will be gone...
we will be raffling off $1,000 pounds at noon, since the exchange rate has dropped greatly it could be a great long term investment...or it could be like Iraqi Dinars following Desert Storm...
Bobs your uncle and all that...

Thanks Happy. And I'll guess I'll be watching my 401(k) go down now, too. No haggis for me - but the fish & chips don't sound too bad.

Yes, markets will take a hit today, but China's markets are already rebounding.
Little early for Fish and Chips, but I think I will be back later for that.
Maybe a little Irish Coffee to start the day.

To quote Dave Ramsey - "Looks like stocks are on sale today. The only people who get hurt on a roller coaster are the ones who jump off." I think this is a very temporary adjustment and the markets will rebound either later today or next week.

Also agree. The drop is just the product of uncertainty. Looks like a buying opportunity if you've kept any cash on the sideline.
With the drop in the Pound, it's also a good time to pick up a Rolls or a Jaguar. (They do still sell Matchbox cars, don't they?)

I like this thread.....uplifting. The news media painted such a bleak picture this morning, I thought I would have to skip retirement and live in a poor house.
