I just was able to sneak out of the bank, and get over to the US Open. Olympia Fields CC is literally down the street. I was able to see Tiger bogey on 18, and then tee off on the 1st hole.
Wow. They make it look so easy.

Tiger needs to kick it up a notch - he's tied for 26th at +1.

I wouldn't worry about him. Tiger's got more passing gears than a Ferrari. But it sure would be nice to see someone else win, maybe a lefty? Please?

OK, I'll try - but I have to warn you... I think it might be too late to enter, and I'm really not a very good golfer.

Mike Wier has already won a major this year.

Russ Cochran (from my home town) won't be in the Open.

Oh... did you mean Phil "Runner-up" Mickelson?

(Seriously, I like Mickelson, but I think that maybe the PGA will be his first major.)

What do you mean - you gotta like the old guy - go TOM! Someone has to stick up for us old guys.

I guess as a banker I shouldn't say "stick up"!

RIGHT ON Randy!!! Tom's only a year older than I am.

For you "young guys" out there, at 52 and varying between a 4 to 6 handicap, I'll challenge you on the golf course anyday. The catch - No carts.

Yeah, but unfortunately look at Tiger's round yesterday. 14 greens in regulation and 33 putts. He gets his putter going and it's all but over.

Dan, I have a way to make it much more fun. Give me 5 a side (I'm a 16), we'll ride in carts, with a one beer per hole rule. We won't care who wins.

Hey, if I don't drink a beer per hole, and 2 for the par 5's, I can't break a 100.

Seriously, my "cart" partner and I take a case of beer just for our cart and we very seldom have any left on the 18th tee.

I wasn't really being sarcastic. I've done the beer a hole thing a couple of times before and things get UGLY around 16. I'm actually trying not to drink when I play golf now (migraines were a common result) and I'm playing better, but no way I can keep up with a 6.
