I see that the Lakers have re-hired Phil Jackson as coach. I don't really care anything about the Lakers, but I'm really hoping that it doesn't go back to being the soap opera it was a couple of years ago. Maybe Jackson and Bryant can get along this time, or at least keep their squabbles private. I don't want to hear about them any more.

Jackson can coach anyone. Kobe just isn't coachable.

Going round and round
I'm wondering if Kobe just became expendible? Just imagine the scenarios:

Kobe for LeBron - never happen, but Phil would love it
Kobe for AI and C-Webb - Kobe goes home to Philly. Just imagine what Phil could do with AI and C-Webb

Any other suggestions?

Of course Phil would end up back with the Lakers. His girlfriend, Jeannie Buss, is the daughter of the owner. Let's see if Phil can get that elusive championship that will break the tie with Red Auerbach. If he can do that with a draft lottery team, he really is a good coach.

I like Phil, but I can't stand the Lakers.
