Green River - Creedence Clearwater Revival

I dig me some CCR! They sounded good, it's just too bad the crowd noise is so loud. For me, the true test of a band is how they sound live.

I'm with ya, GD. I've left a show early because it was so bad, never being able to listen to the band without thinking, "they suck live."

Now, everyone probably knows I'm a huge Beatles fans, and they did so much on their studio recordings that it would be very difficult to reproduce that sound live, however...

CCR is also one of my favorite bands, and they really were a "live" band, even in their studio recordings. I know there's a lot of crowd noise on this video and the sound isn't the best, but I think this performance captured the essence of CCR.

I saw a Texas band called Havalinas whose recordings were so-so, but live, in a live show they were absolutely fantastic.
