Has anyone read the book, Freakonomics? I just finished reading the hard cover. I read it right after it came out a few years ago (borrowed it from somebody), but just bought the expanded edition. (the paperback comes out today)
I can't wait until the new book comes out (oct or nov), and I love the blog (
http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/).
If you've never heard of it, it's basically taking economic principles (incentives, data and regression analysis, etc) and applying them to "every day" ideas: studying teacher habits and seeing if they cheat for their students, real estate agents and selling their own house compared to yours, parenting, etc). Definitely an interesting read.
