Welcome to the midwest...glad you could dump a ton of snow, hail, and rain on such drought stricken areas, they can use it...please take into consideration that many areas of New England are still recovering from prior storms and don't need as much snow. If you'd like, New Orleans hasn't had snow for several years, we'd love some!
I love this global warming!

I keep waiting for the whole "Day After Tomorrow" thing.... Admittedly, the moisture has been a godsend! Thanks for that!

When I went to lunch, I had to scrape ice off my windshield, but it was changing over from freezing rain to snow already. It's been dumping snow since noon. Some employees are taking PTO to leave early. It's supposed to warm up a bit through the evening, so it will probably change to freezing rain again and put a nice layer of ice on the snow.

It's supposed to hit us around 2:00AM, which freezing rain starting around 6:00AM. Just in time for the morning commute! Our snow should start any minute, warnings last through tomorrow. 6-midnight should be the worst. We'll kick the leftovers to you! ETA: Storm is late and nobody told me. I guess it's not to start until after 6 now. Psh, tardiness is not appreciated Q!

Earlier this week they were saying possibly 18 inches here. They are now down to 6-8 and I can say for certain the last few hours, which were supposed to be the heaviest, have been some of the lightest snow I have ever seen. I am guessing we end up with 4-5 at most.

Q, what kind of name is that for a snow storm? Well, they were going to name it "DQ", but apparently that moniker has been spoken for already.

Maybe it's named after Q from the James Bond movies or Q from Star Trek the Next Generation.

"Q is Quetzacoatl" At least according to the lousy movie from back in the 80's.

We have cancelled schools and such, but I didn't think it was bad out at all. Definitely haven't gotten as much as predicted overnight, but they're saying we could still pick up another 4-6 through today. Lots of wind made for some pretty big drifts though, I'm sure we'll have people call because they don't want to deal with the drifts in front of their garage door.

We are expected to get 8-12" Saturday night into Sunday. One of those winters with regular storms. Last year the plow guys starved, now they are non stop.

We closed the bank at 3:00 yesterday, so everyone could get home. I wouldn't have known where the street was if there weren't mailboxes in each yard.

SE Ohio, about a 1/4 inch of ice. Made the drive in this morning fun. Weird thing is, Wednesday it was 40 degrees and we got an inch of snow, today it is 29 and we get 1/4 inch ice. (I know it has something to do with the air temp in the clouds) It is warming up (34) and just raining now.
