Has anyone seen the clips for the upcoming show “Average Joe’? I just HAVE to watch it…it’s a reality dating show with an attractive girl who apparently has said something like “looks aren’t important”..So they bring these guys to the house to date her, like a Bachelor show..but the guys are geeky, really hairy, overweight, really thin, etc..not your GQ type..It ought to be hilarious…it starts next Monday, I think..

I'm curious to find out what the "average Joe" does for a living. Do you think there are any bankers in the group?

I saw the commercial and the fleeting expression of revulsion on "Ms. Wonderful's" face when she saw the guys. Who the heck does she think she is? I know many people who are physically attractive but their personality is ugly. That facial expression told me she is probably one of them. I won't be watching.

I haven't seen the ads. Does she really look freaked out?

Yeah and I don't think she was acting. It looked like a real look of disgust.

Where do you think reality TV will go next? Have any of you seen the Joe Schmo show on Spike TV? At first I thought it was soooo funny, but now I really can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy who is clueless. I guess if you agree to go on one of those shows you get what you deserve, but some of them are waaaay over the top.

I am dying to see Average Joe, I think it looks funny! I wonder if one of the guys is secretly a millionaire or something.....

I saw a preview for a new show based on the same premise as the movie, Ed TV. I think it was called Todd TV on f/x. Viewers vote if he should move back in with his parents, get back together with his ex or hook up with as many girls as possible. I can't believe the crap they are coming up with!

I saw the preview too and frankly, it turned me off. Her look, then they flash to her making out with one of the guys...which made me feel she was basically prostituting herself out (if they are disgusting to her...why's she kissing them? cuz she's on TV hoping to pick up a big endorsement contract!)

I saw the ad also, but remember, the look she gave could have been used out of context in the commercial and may be used out of context in the show. The miracle of television--the edit!

After one thinks TV can't go lower into the gutter, they find a way. Sad thing is I keep thinking it can't get any worse, I should know better by now.
