Crossing one of the items off my bucket list and going to the Kentucky Derby next year. Any tips for attending or other attractions in the area? I'll have two extra days in Louisville.

To make this slightly more helpful, if you're into bourbon you should check out the KY Bourbon Trail. Several distilleries located nearby to tour and sample.

Being from just across the river from Louisville I recommend you google Derby Festival. There are loads of activities and things to see. What are your interests? There is the bat factory, the Louisville Bats (baseball team), zoo, museums, shopping, restaurants.
