i know it's early, but most of the SEC teams seemed a bit off-kilter...

"Top 2 teams" in the country were life-and-death to get by two Big 12 teams picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference. As always, prognosticators basically know as much as someone rolling dice.....is why we play the games.

So disappointed in my college team! Had it in the bag at the end of the first half so the defense decided not to play the second. aaarrrgggghhhh

How about them Aggies!!!! Without Johnny Football, nearly 700 yards offense against a 9th rated team.

I sure had my "Pistols Firing" Saturday! What an awesome game. Can't be ashamed of that loss at all! I love college football!!!

No shame here! But we should have won that game. Had nothing to do with the calls, it was all on us (Ok, the Seminoles may have had a hand in it too ). But I think once the newbies settle down, the Pokes are gonna be a force to be reckoned with!

The St Louis Rams released info about the team that said thirteen of the players are "SEC educated." Now there's an oxymoron.

No IOW, the media loves them some SEC, as always.

How does two teams picked to finish 6th and 7th out of 10 in the Big 12 playing the wheels off the two teams ranked 1 and 2 in the country say anything bad about the strength of the Big 12?

Sweeping Walsh off his feet was the only thing that saved FSU. Otherwise it would have been Cowboys all the way. I'll admit I was scared going in (and through the 1st qtr) but the boys played hard.

It was a great cartwheel! Less good as a ball carry though.
Everybody made a big deal about Winston's hurdle on his touchdown run (and it was a good run), but the credit should have gone to whoever the seminole on the ground was! I've never seen a big boy hit the ground as fast as he did when he saw Winston about to leap over him!

There was lots of good football this last week. Had fun watching the games.

Winston's "touchdown" that really wasn't? His knee was clearly down outside the goal. I try to not get worked up about bad calls. They happen.

Wish I liked NFL so I had more football to watch but I just can't find a team to root for!

Yeah, he was down and even if he wasnt, it was a fumble. But I'm with you, i think they called what they saw and the rule says "irrefutable" evidence to overturn a call. So I didnt have a huge problem with it. I wish we had won, but just as a football fan, it was an exciting game to watch!

The standard of irrefutable evidence needs to be looked at. To be honest it is a pretty ridiculous standard that often gets in the way of making the right call, and the refs know it. That said does anyone remember how bad video review was in the NFL during the first go around? It was really bad.

I had my 1 year old granddaughter so saw more of Madagascar and Frozen than football! Ha! However, not to brag or anything, but I did end up in first place in the Yahoo Pickem Mike created. Just sayin'.........

You still can. It's set up so that the 2 lowest total weeks aren't counted.
