Hope everyone stays dry this week! (Especially Randy Carey, looks like Galveston is already getting hit with the leading edge and storm surge.)

Six to eight inches of rain predicted for DFW between now and Thursday night.

First world problems: We have a golf trip planned to southern Missouri this weekend. I hope TS Bill doesn't make it cart path only.

Yay! More rain! Thankfully we'll only catch the far western edges but they're still calling for 4+ inches. We had 2 yesterday. It's like living on the surface of a soaked sponge.

Heard this morning we've already gotten 90% of our annual rainfall. Now, if we could talk about not having water restrictions..... smirk

Sorry to break it to you but it's probably already cart path only, it's squishy down here.

My part of Houston has had less than 1 inch of rain today. TS Bill is a non event so far.

Goodnight, what a difference a day makes! Heavy rains have been training over Houston for many hours with a projected 3 more hours of rain. Dallas is now getting it too.

We could still use some water in our lakes here in mid-west Texas so bring it on.

The front edge of Bill arrived here about 10 minutes ago. Looks like the next 36 hours are going to be a little damp.

Stay dry MBH. Bill isn't kidding around! We got no rain where I work and 2 inches where I live 30 miles east. Further east was much worse.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
Texas has been in a multi-year drought, my dad lives close to lake Arlington and last year it was at least 10-12 feet below normal, this year it is almost back to normal...of course, I don't think anyone wants to erase the drought with just one rain, but rather spread over the course of the year. I saw Grapevine was heavily hit, and the Red River flooding in Shreveport/Bossier City as a result of the recent rains and now TD Bill will keep that area flooded for a bit longer.

It missed us. We're too far to the west of its track.

I believe the remnants of Bill will be coming here this afternoon. Actually we could use a little rain.

My two daughters' softball tournaments are scheduled to begin tonight, so I'm confident Bill's leftovers will be arriving in southwestern Indiana this afternoon...

I feel your pain on that Julie. This rain has been great for our horrible drought but it's sure wreaked havoc on our baseball schedules. League tournament was supposed to be last weekend and this week. It's been changed to a 1-day single elimination championship with 14 teams playing. Going to be a long day but the weather looks great for the weekend!

Hope Bill starts to fizzle out for y'all!

We got about 4 inches when all was said and done - about half of what they initially projected. It wasn't bad at all. And the grass & trees look great!

It just keeps getting worse. One of my friends posted that her in-ground pool is overflowing.

I checked the rain gauge at lunch, and we had had almost 4 inches in 24 hours, and there is more coming.
