I went to see Shania Twain in concert last night. Before I go any further, I just want to let you all know she was great, lots of energy and you really get the feeling she cares greatly for her fans. She actually signed a lot of autographs all during the concert, while she was singing. The concert was "in the round" so she kept going around and around the edge of the stage and signing away. The first four or five times she did this, I thought it was great but after a while, you are really just watching the band perform and watching her kneeling on the edge of the stairs signing away, and since it was in the round you really couldn't see her at all. The band was fantastic, but the music was so loud you couldn't hear her sing unless she was really belting it out or it was sung to "light music". I realize this complaint about the music makes me sound old, but I'm not complaining about "loud music" I'm complaining you couldn't hear her. This is the second time I've been to a concert at the Garden where you couldn't hear the singer (who is the one you paid to see). Does this every happen to you guys out there?

They should fire the sound man. He's supposed to keep the sound balanced.

I went to a Moody Blues concert about 10 years ago, and everything was too quiet. I kept thinking, turn it up!

Do not worry it is not the volume of the music that makes you old. It is the fact that you go to a concert that there is singing vs someone talking that make you old.
