I am cheering for the Falcons, simply because they beat the Packers - and as a Vikings fan, I guess I liked that <shrug>. I guess I'm not a big Brady fan either.

My prediction....Patriots 31; Falcons 17

My hope....Falcons 100; Patriots 0

I don't like the Patriots - at all. Sadly, I just don't think Atlanta can pull it off. Then again, I never thought NY had a chance either time either!

I don't hate the Patriots but I'm tired of seeing them. I do respect the system, coach and QB though, you can't argue with results.

What would be cool is seeing Goodell hand a trophy to Brady.........after the whole deflategate thing.......with some awkward sounding music playing........while Goodell forces a smile which turns to a look of pain when Brady gives him an 'inadvertent' Draymond Green kick to the groin

As much as it pains me, I just don't see the relatively inexperienced Falcons hanging with the Patriots. The Falcons have 5 Super Bowl appearances across their entire roster, and Brady has 6. Belichick has 10 (almost 20% of the Super Bowls...).

I just don't know how they'll be able to hang with Belichick's mind. He does nothing better than take away your best (Jones, Freeman) like he did to Pittsburgh (Bell, Brown, even though Bell was due to injury).

That said, I hope Atlanta smokes them. I like Matt Ryan and as a Colts fan would love to see Freeney go out with a ring... and a sack or twelve smile.

As a Pats fan, the Falcons offense scares the heck out of me. The number one offense up against the #1 defense in lowest points allowed.

In the Super Bowl era, the #1 defense has won the SB over the #1 offense. This will be the 6th time #1 faces off against #1; and the #1 D is 4-1. Not only that, but the #1 D (ranked by points allowed) has reached the SB a total of 15 times (this being 16). That record is 12-3. While you should never take the #1 O for granted, all the signs point to a NE win.

I just hope the signs are wrong.

I admire Brady's talents. I enjoy watching Edelman, and I have a soft spot for ex-St. Louis Rams Chris Long and Danny Amendola. I think Chris Hogan has a great story, and it says something about Belichek that he saw something in Hogan that several other teams missed.

But I'm still cheering for the Falcons, because I don't like the Patriots organization, and I still haven't forgiven them for Super Bowl XXXVI.

So much for salary caps and drafts leading to parity. I'll be rooting for the Falcons, but I wouldn't bet any money on them.

I still get chills watching the replays of Brady leading them down the field with 1:20 or so left (Madden-"I disagree with them going for it) and Vinitieri punching it through the uprights.

Way, way south.
Falcons +1 over Patriots. Don't care how, or by how much, as long as NE loses, I'll be thrilled.

I'm praying the blimp crashes, taking out both teams and rendering the game moot...

I wonder if Goodell has the stones to show up given the chance he'll have to hand the trophy to the Pats. Or will he call in sick and send one of his minions?
