If a customer withdraws over $10,000 from his business account, would the business or the individual be listed as the beneficiary on the CTR?

If the customer cashed out a check written on the business account for over $10,000, would the answer be any different?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

If the funds are being used for the business or payroll, then the business would be the beneficiary. You would need to ask the owner to be certain.

Otherwise, the person conducting the transaction is the beneficiary since they are the one receiving the money.

As far as a customer cashing a check over $10,000 , the person conducting the transactions would be the beneficiary. The business is not benefiting from the transaction.

If the check the owner of the business was cashing out was to fund an ATM at his business, wouldn't the business be the beneficiary and not the person conducting the transaction?

Isn't the beneficiary information based upon what the branch knows about what the funds are for?

Yes, that's why I said you have to ask the owner. It helps to know your customers business to determine if it is normal to need cash. If not, and the owner is taking a draw (normal for small businesses) then the owner is the beneficiary and transactor.
