Should an OFAC search be done for wire transfer done for funds on a participation loan? One bank paying another bank.

That would depend on you banks Risk Assessment. FWIW there are many banks listed on the Treasury's OFAC list.

The odds of a "hit" are almost nil if the participating bank is a U.S. bank.
