Person wants to open account. Has provided a copy of state ID, social security card and other items. Ran online verification, no matches which could simply be person has no information in public databases. My main concern is that the social security card appears to be typed and has person's "former" address on it. I don't remember ever seeing a social security card with an address on it. We ran through the IRS database and name and SSN matches, however, person trying to open account could have real person's information and not be the real person. Any advice on the SS card or other? Thanks!

Somewhere over the rainbow...
Require more forms of identification. We don't copy or ask for the SS card, and I have never seen one with an address on it. Or if you feel uncomfortable with the account, just don't open it!

I have never seen a social security card with an address listed on it. Try to contact your local Social Security Office, maybe they can be of assistance.

Like KarenL said, if you're not comfortable, don't do it.
