I'm sure we no longer have to file a copy of a SAR with the State. But where can I find this change; I think if occurred several years ago.

I think it may still be relevant, but I thnk the reg does 'encourage' you "to file a copy of the SAR with state and local law enforcement agencies where appropriate."

Note that it is to law enforcement and where appropriate, so it's on a case-by-case basis based on the circumstances.

Some state's did require the duplicate filing. Call the Oklahoma Banking Department and ask them if it still exists.

You no longer have to file a duplicate filing with the State of Oklahoma. That went away several years ago.
