I know we have to report to the Board of Directors info on any SARs we file. Are we required by any regulations to report to the Board any DOEP forms & CTRs filed?

We inform our Board of DOEPs filed and the number of CTRs filed (for informational purposes), but I don't think we are required to. I think providing that information helps the Board with their BSA/AML program responsibilities.

We report SARs filed on a monthly basis. Any other reports filed are given in my annual BSA report to the Board.

Our internal policy says that the BSA Compliance Officer will report to the board quarterly. I give them a one page summary of the number of CTR's filed, changes in exemptions, number of SAR's filed for the quarter (I also report them individually as they are filed), OFAC and 314(a)search results, and the number of employees who have recieved their annual BSA training.

It doesn't take long to throw the report together and we have had both examiners and external auditors compliment us because the report shows we keep the board involved in the program.
