I know this one has been brought up before, but I like to check for fresh perspectives.

We have a number of cases where customers have accessed their box and immediately deposited cash to their checking account.

I know that we can;t say, with certainly, that the person got the cash from their box and therefore their box is stuffed with cash.

I was wondering whether or not any of you are even looking for this transaction coupling: safety box/cash transaction.

As you noted, this has been brought up often before.

I would encourage you to search for, and review those threads. I cannot imagine the range of opinions have changed much without any additional or new guidance.

I pay little attention to these reports unless it is an everyday event with amounts under the reporting limit.
It is not illegal to keep cash in a safe deposit box.
