We have an investment firm that works within our bank, but its employees are not employees of the bank. Does the bank have a responsibility or requirement to ensure that its employees have BSA training of any kind?

We have something similar. I actually get a copy of their BSA Program (or certification of it) and keep in my files. I don't think you technically have to, it's just good practice/due diligence. Especially if you're referring customers to them.
