We received a phone call and written request from the FBI asking for more information regarding a CTR. They want a copy of the transaction that prompted the CTR...I cannot find any concrete answer on providing CTR documentation to a LE agency. Can someone point me in the right direction?
No SAR was filed on this transaction or customer at any point.

Law enforcement can request SAR documentation without a subpoena. There is no such provision for CTR documentation. The agent will need a subpoena for this request.

given the law enforcement inquiry, might just want to do you own investigating and your committee may just decide to do a SAR filing. if law enforcement is looking then you should too.
