I have always compared the percentage of loans made to low-income borrowers and moderate income borrowers in my institution, to the percentage of families living below poverty level in the AA. I also consider market share of the prior year.

For census tracts, I compare to the # of owner occupied units in the low and moderate income tracts.

Question 1: Is there a place to find the actual number of low-and moderate income families in a county?

For small business and small farms, I compare it to the market share of the year before and/or the deposit market share.

Deposit market share is easy to find. Question 2: If it is not in an MSA, where can you find the small business/small farm market share? Does the CRA on the FFIEC show anything that is not in an MSA?
