Is anyone familar with the Cristo Rey Program? Basicly the program is a high school for low to moderate income families. The students work at the bank to help pay for the schools tutition. My question is this would this program count for CRA credit? Here is some more information, the high school itself is NOT located in the banks Assessment area. By looking at the CRA flow chart form bankersonline, it appears if the high school is not within our assessment area it would not count for CRA credit. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You don't mention what the bank would be doing in support of the program.

It's possible to get credit outside your assessment area but you need to already be doing a good job in community development in your own AA before they examiner will look at anything that you are doing outside of it. As always, it's at the examiners discretion.
