We have a $50,000 cash-secured revolving line of credit with a community development purpose. This would be a small business loan as opposed to a community development loan? The Q & As say, “In general, a loan to a nonprofit secured by nonfarm, nonresidential property for business purpose is a small business loan if it has an original amount of $1-million or less.” What confuses me is that I also read that an unsecured or a loan secured by personal assets (which cash-secured would be) is not reportable as a small business loan under CRA.

If your borrower is a non profit, the loan is not reportable as a small business loan because only non farm non res real estate secured loans to non profits qualify. If it meets a CD purpose, include it in that category.
