A good friend was just injured in IRAQ. He can't tell us the specifics, only that he is in a hospital in Kuwait, 3 others in his unit have been transferred to Germany. He was able to call his wife this morning, but couldn't say much.

I didn't get to talk to him, but he sounded like he was "out of it." Not sure if it was pain meds or a swollen face. He was also in Somalia on October 3, 1993, (Black Hawk Down) so none of this is new to him. He'll be on desk detail for a while, much to the relief of his wife (who is also in the armed forces - just here at home).

Lord be with him, his family and all of the others still fighting!!

Absolutely you will get more prayers!! He and you will be on our prayer list.Also, even though its hard to do sometimes, we need to pray for our enemies, that they may come to know and want PEACE.

My sister and this friend's wife are in the same unit.
They were just put on alert today - they will soon be going over to Iraq, too
So now my friend, Peter and his wife have 2 kids at home, and they'll both be in Iraq.
I know that it all comes with the responsibility of signing up, and I totally support our troops, but I hate to see them go.
