Hello,
My son has to go in for an MRI tomorrow. The doctor's only motivation to order this is the size of his head. He's thinking everything is probably fine but wants to make sure there's no excess fluid that is causing his head to be large. If everyone could say a little prayer for good results, we would appreciate it. I am trying not to overthink things, but as a mom it is so hard.
Thank you

OK
Prayers......try to focus on the "everything is probably fine" line from the doctor.....hopefully, it can ease your stress (i understand how stressful it is when we're concerned about our kids).

Thank you. My gut feeling tells me everything is fine and I am leaning on that. It is just concerning when they want to have serious testing done.

Everything came back normal!! The specialist said she's 99% sure the problem was the 4 previous measurements taken at the regular doctor's office were very inaccurate. This is so frustrating, caused us so much stress, a long drive out of town, and a massive doctor bill just because the staff there doesn't know how to measure a baby's head. I should turn the bill over to them....

Yes I will take it! It is just upsetting that all the stress (emotional and financial) was caused because people aren't doing their jobs >:(

Amen to that. Years ago, I had a sort of similar situation with bladder cancer. I changed doctors and after getting it checked every year since (probably 5-7 years in a row) with nothing there, my current doctor said I can go a few years before getting it checked again. These tests are very uncomfortable and I am so glad I don't have to get checked again for a while. The original diagnosis was probably a whole bunch of nothing as my latest doctor has said.

great news! My kids went through something a little similar before the twins were born...had to go to out of town specialists for months and great cause for worry and concern....when everything was basically fine! Had to give birth at this hospital 2.5 hours away as well...talk about pins and needles!

I am sorry to hear that, MB! Glad things are getting straightened out for you. Gosh, health concerns are the absolute worst, especially when you are putting your trust into doctors/nurses that sometimes don't know what they're doing. I am thankful that this was resolved quickly, RR I don't know how you dealt with months of that!!
