I agree with John, but let me add this. It is not a violation to include "Member FDIC" with the bank name in a credit card ad. Just because credit cards are not themselves insured doesn't forbid you from advertising the one thing that distinguishes you from other types of financial intermediaries. The only time it's prohibited is when advertising nondeposit investment products (like insurance or brokerage accounts). For every other type of advertising, I ask that it be included at my bank.
