Need CC Guru help here...

I've researched both Reg and Commentary and can not find anything on this situation.

A cashier's check made out to joint payees (ex. hus and wife) is deposited to an individual account (ex. wife only)...does this qualify for next day availability?

My gut feel is that no, it does not, because it is not deposited into an account owned by both of the payees. Is there anything to refute my opinion?

Thanks for the help!

The requirement is that the check be deposited to an account of a payee (not all payees). If the check is deposited to an account of any of the payees named on a check with multiple payees, whether the payees are named alternatively or not, and the deposit is made in person to an employee of the bank, it gets next-day availability, subject to whatever holds you might be able to invoke (large deposit, new account, etc.).
