I have seen this practice at many financial institutions and cannot find anything other than maybe privacy that affects this topic. We had an issue where some of our teller receipts were emailed out to our customers without the information being encrypted. The information showing on the receipts was the name, account number, and balance. We have not had any issues with the information being stolen while transferring over the internet from any of the members. Are we in violation of any regulation other than best practice that we should worry about? I know that many of the banking institutions that I deal with hand out receipts without verifying who the receipt is given to or if they are on the account. What rules this? thank you
