Please forgive me if I have missed a post on this topic...

Our bank uses a vendor to offer gift cards to customers. We log the sale on their website, they provide us with card stock, etc. In looking at the new Reg, it appears we have to provide a few disclosures before the purchase...so does this mean that I have to train my tellers to say the following or have a little hand-out available that basically says to following before the transactio actually occurs....

Purchase fee $5; Inactivity Fee, $2/month after 13 months; funds do not expire and you can call 888 or visit www... to obtain a new card or for more information regarding this pre-paid card.

Your bank will be responsible for making or providing the pre-purchase disclosures required by the regulation, and for the disclosures required to be provided on and with the cards. The pre-purchase disclosures may be made orally.

Under what conditions are you allowed to charge a replacement card fee?

FYI--we just received notification that our vendor is going to stop the gift card prodcut as of 8/1/10 due to the new rules.

What vendor are you using?
