How essential is it that the word "custodian", "personal rep", "executor" etc be after the signature of said person on the signature card? If the signature card has the correct title and relationship roles assigned to the person, do they need to add the title after their signature? For example: Jane Doe Custodian.
I can understand signing checks etc this way when processing a transaction, but is it essential to have the customer come back into the bank to add a title to a signature card if we didn't get it at account opening? This seems to me like an inconvenience to the customer. Thoughts?

To me the most important part is having the appropriate supporting documentation to support the individual's role. Your specific question might be a state law issue.
