Silly question but, well, it's Monday :)...

Is a bank required to have a list of all bank fees to give to a person on request?
I'm not talking about current customers, but to people shopping around.

If you do not provide information how can the potential customer make an informed decision?

The fees should be part of your Reg. DD disclosures.

I agree, and the institutions I have worked at have always provided something on request.

However, I'm hearing a lot of people state recently that they haven't had luck at other institutions when requesting the information, and I was just wondering if these banks were required to give them when asked...

Reg. DD requires depository institutions to provide the account disclosures upon request. For consumers not physically present, the insitution must mail or deliver the disclosures within a reasonable period of time.

The Community Reinvestment Act requires depository institutions to include its available loan and deposit products and transaction fees in both its main and branch CRA public files. Upon request, the institution must provide copies of the information contained in its main and branch public files.

Guess my customers aren't the only ones...
