The bank has one checking account that goes to a negative status when vendors send a debit through ach to collect thier monthly fee. We also have a checking acccount that goes negative on a weekly basis because it is our atm switch account. Is there a federal regulation that would prohibit this or having them coded so they would go in an nsf/overdraft state without the transaction being reported on our nsf/overdraft report?

We have internal accounts that go OD from time to time for similar reasons - regulators have never said anything about it - just clear ASAP
