We forgot a disclose a fee on our GFE, but it is small enough that there is room in our tolerance bucket to cover the fee.

Can we recapture this fee vis the excess tolerance, or do we need to provide a credit to the customer in the amount of the fee because we forgot it??? HELP!

If you don't exceed your tolerance, you are okay.

But to simply create a new GFE to list it is wrong correct? I have to take my lumps if the tolerance isn't enough to cover it, but luck out of it fits within.

OK
I think you have it. The fee goes on the HUD-1, gets tossed into its tolerance bucket and if it doesn't exceed your tolerance, you are ok. If it does exceed the tolerance, you pay the difference to the borrower.
