Is it acceptable to use prior year revenue when completing the CRA register?

Meaning, we make a loan this year, 2015, and the lender collected revenue from 2013 to make their loan decision. Is it acceptable to report the revenue from 2013 for our 2015 register?

I have asked this of examiners and the response has to never go back more than two years. Why not just ask the customer? You don't need financials.
