I'm looking for some ideas/suggestions from auditors whose FI uses Jack Henry. Specifically, how did you familiarize yourself with the reports that are available and where do you find criteria/parameters for the reports?

Thanks

Call Jack Henry at 205-981-1980 and ask them to send you the manual.

Just out of curiosity, do you know if it's free?

They sent to me free. But I don't know what our contract with them said about training/manuals, etc.

The web help has a description of the reports sorted by application (BUI view only).

I am no longer in audit, but i used Cognos Impromptu to make my own reports. I then requested copies of the departmental reports used in daily/monthly procedures. Impromptu allows you to select relevant records. ie. Mortgage Loans originated 1/1/06 - 12/31/06, over $100,000 secured by 1-4 family home.

We had Jack Henry support staff at our bank a couple years ago and they helped the EDP staff set me up with the security level so that I could pull comma-delimited reports. If you are not familiar with that, the comma-limited file can be opened and saved in an Excel file which is very useful. Since I can do this, I do not use any of Jack Henry's "canned" reports for my audits. The comma-delimited report allows you to request the exact information that you need to perform the audit. Contact your Jack Henry contact person for more information.
