While auditing the Proof and Transit department I found that the same individual may handle preparing the cash letter as well as returns. While I don't think this happens very often, it could happen.
Is this specifically prohibited by Check 21 or is it best practice?

Check 21 claims. How do I know when a complaint on a check is UCC regulated or Reg CC regulated? A check posted for the incorrect amount. We received it in our cashletter so I would think that would be considered a check 21 claim. If so, then when would there be a complaint on a check this day and time that wouldn't be check 21? It would seem to me most all claims this day and time would be substitute checks.
