When doing an OREO audit for the bank, should the Bank Holding company OREO files also be audited? If bank-owned OREO property is now listed as bank holding company OREO, what's the timeframe the the holding company has for continuing to hold the property? Is it the same as the bank had, 5 yrs? or longer? Where can I find the reg that addresses this?

How did bank owned OREO get transferred to the Holding Company and why was it transferred. I have never heard of a Holding Company having OREO.
